MONSTER seen with
Rapid Eye Movement

On 29th September 1998 I was once again in the Park Student Union Bar of Cheltenham & Gloucester College of Higher Education. This time it was to see an R.E.M. tribute band called MONSTER who were performing as part of Freshers Week.

I thought they performed the songs of R.E.M. extremely well, tracks like:-

• DRIVE
• SHINY HAPPY PEOPLE
• ORANGE CRUSH
• E-BOW THE LETTER
• FINEST WORKSONG
• WHAT'S THE FREQUENCY, KENNETH
• THE ONE I LOVE
• LOSING MY RELIGION
• EVERYBODY HURTS

By the time I had to leave I had really enjoyed the evening but was disappointed because they had not performed my favourite, "IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD AS WE KNOW IT".
